Local CDL A or CDL B Driver

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

The primary duty of the Driver, also called a Logistics Specialist II (with or without a Crane Operator), is to deliver building materials to customers or job sites. Deliveries are within a 200-mile radius of the home branch, with no overnight stays required.

• Safely operate a commercial vehicle in compliance with DOT regulations
• Lead job site safety, operating equipment according to laws
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections
• Verify inventory, confirm delivery details, and obtain routing information
• Inspect job sites for existing damages and hazards, documenting conditions
• Take pictures of delivered building products as per company policy

Requirements

• Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Ability to load/unload building products weighing up to 100 lbs., experience with forklifts or Moffett preferred
• Safe driving record, no recent hit & runs, DWI, or DUI convictions
• Previous commercial driving experience and knowledge of DOT & OSHA safety regulations are a plus
• Experience in distribution is advantageous
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, understanding, speaking)
• Minimum age of 18; 21 if crossing state lines or transporting hazardous materials
• Pass a drug test and hold a current DOT medical certificate; no positive drug tests in past 12 months
• Authorized to work in the U.S., pass E-Verify

All CDL drivers must register with FMCSA as of January 6, 2020. Our background check will verify registration before proceeding with employment screening.
