Local CDL A or Local CDL B Driver w/ Crane Certification

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

The primary duty of the Logistics Specialist II, with or without a Crane Operator certification, is to deliver building materials to customers or job sites. Drivers operate within a 200-mile radius of their home branch, with all deliveries starting and ending at the branch, and no overnight stays required.

• Safety Bonus
• Safely operate a commercial vehicle in compliance with DOT regulations
• Lead job site safety by operating equipment according to local, state, and federal laws
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections
• Validate and confirm inventory loaded, compare purchase orders, sign delivery tickets, and verify addresses and routing information
• Inspect the job site for existing damages and document any issues, noting the location of obstacles such as power lines, sprinklers, septic tanks, mailboxes, fences, etc.
• Capture photographs of all delivered building products as per Company Policy

Requirements

• Valid Class A or Class B CDL
• Crane operation certifications (plus)
• Ability to load/unload building products weighing up to 100 lbs. each, with experience operating forklifts or Moffett preferred
• Safe driving record with no recent hit & run, DWI, or DUI convictions; violations and accidents will be reviewed
• Prior commercial driving experience and knowledge of DOT & OSHA safety regulations are advantages
• Experience in distribution is a plus
• Proficiency in reading, writing, understanding, and communicating in English
• Minimum age of 18; 21 if crossing state lines or transporting hazardous materials
• Must pass drug testing and hold a current DOT medical certificate; no positive tests in the last 12 months
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. and pass E-Verify
