Job summary

GAATCO in Portland, OR is hiring a Local CDL-A Intermodal Truck Driver to run regional routes with guaranteed daily home time. You’ll operate modern day cabs, stay within a 0–300 mile radius of the local rail ramp, and handle live load and drop-and-hook freight.

This position offers competitive pay, excellent benefits, PTO, and the security of consistent year‑round freight with a stable employer. Home daily, 10–12 hour shifts, five‑day work weeks with an optional sixth day for extra earnings.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Minimum 3 months of current, active Class A driving experience.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Pass DOT physical and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class A CMV safely in regional/local areas.
• Manage multiple dispatches within 0–300 miles of the rail ramp.
• Handle live load and drop-and-hook freight.
• Drive day cabs with automatic transmissions.
