Job summary

4th Day Trucking is seeking a Local CDL-A Intermodal Driver to pull containers within a 150-mile radius of the Houston yard. This role features 100% no-touch freight, night shifts, and 100% home time after every shift.

Expect to average weekly earnings between $1,000 and $1,200 gross, with $12.50 per stop incentives and a per-load breakdown that amounts to roughly $24.50 per stop. Requirements include a valid Class A CDL and DOT Medical Card.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and current DOT Medical Card.
• Must reside within 25 miles of the dispatch yard.
• Minimum 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience.
• Hazmat Endorsement: Preferred, but not strictly required.
• Solid driving record, clean work history, and mandatory drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Freight Handling: 100% No-Touch Freight (Mix of live loads/unloads, preloads, and drop-and-hook)
• Running Radius: Operating within a 150-mile radius of yard
• Common Loops: Regional hub drops including runs into other yards
• Equipment & Gear: Slip-seat operation driving clean daycabs. Containers mounted onto bare chassis at ramp
• Ramp Operations: Occasional 30 to 60-minute wait times for flips at the ramp when mounting containers onto DOT-legal chassis
