Job summary

Oldcastle APG, a CRH Company, is seeking a Local CDL A Flatbed Driver to deliver and pick up products with a flatbed in Texas. You will report to the dispatcher, manage deliveries, and maintain accurate records as required by DOT regulations.

The role requires a CDL A, at least 2 years of CDL experience, and a clean driving record. You should be detail-oriented with strong communication and customer service skills, and willing to work in a fast-paced construction materials environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 2 years of experience operating a CDL A vehicle; flatbed experience is a plus.
• Must be at least 24 years old with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Transport construction materials to job sites safely and on time.
• Assist with loading and ensure proper order and weight distribution.
• Record DOT logs, fuel receipts, delivery docs, and follow regulations.
• Build and maintain customer relationships and communicate with dispatch.
• Perform pre-trip inspections and report any issues immediately.
• Receive shipping bills, obtain signatures, and return paperwork to shipping.
• Maintain routine truck and loading equipment, and monitor cargo safety.
• Develop knowledge of inventory, sizes, colors, and pallet packaging.
• Monitor product quality and customer satisfaction and report problems.
