Job summary

Oldcastle APG, a CRH company, is seeking a CDL A Local Driver to deliver and pick up building materials with a flatbed, home nightly. This role emphasizes safe driving, efficient loading, and clear dispatch communication.

You'll perform pre-trip inspections, maintain DOT logs, and build strong customer relationships while ensuring paperwork is complete and accurate. A high school diploma and CDL A with at least 2 years of experience are required; Moffett experience and forklift certification are

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with Moffett.
• CDL A license required; flatbed experience a plus.
• At least 2 years of CDL A vehicle operation; clean driving record.
• Detail-oriented with good communication; forklift certification a plus.
• Bi-lingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Transport construction materials to job sites in a safe and timely manner.
• Assist and supervise loading of the truck to ensure proper order and weight distribution.
• Receive invoices and directions from dispatcher and follow them to the letter.
• Maintain DOT logs, fuel receipts, and delivery documentation per regulations.
• Build and maintain good customer relationships and complete paperwork.
• Perform pre-trip inspections and report any concerns promptly.
• Unload cargo safely and manage inventory knowledge at the site.
