Job summary

Oldcastle APG, a CRH Company, seeks a CDL A Local Driver to safely deliver and pick up construction materials on a flatbed. This Denton, TX role offers home nightly, with emphasis on accurate loading, timely dispatch, and excellent customer service.

You will perform pre-trip inspections, maintain DOT logs, and ensure proper weight distribution and documentation. Experience with flatbeds, Moffett equipment, and a clean driving record is highly valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• CDL A with at least 2 years of CDL A experience is required.
• Flatbed experience is a plus.
• Moffett experience and forklift certification are a plus.
• Bilingual ability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Transport construction material to job site in a safe and timely manner.
• Assist and supervise loading of truck to ensure proper order and weight distribution.
• Receive invoice and directions from dispatcher and follow them to the letter.
• Maintain DOT logs, fuel receipts, delivery documentation and other required records.
• Build and maintain good customer relationships.
• Perform pre-trip inspections of assigned vehicle and report issues promptly.
• Obtain shipping bills and signatures and return paperwork to the shipping department.
• Provide routine maintenance documentation for truck and loading/unloading equipment.
• Survey job site and unload cargo safely and efficiently.
• Develop knowledge of inventory, sizes, types, colors, and pallet packaging.
• Monitor and report problems with product quality, customer satisfaction, and traffic.
