Job summary

Oldcastle APG is seeking a CDL A delivery driver to pickup and offload palletized products using a flatbed. Local routes, home every night, and a clean MVR are required.

This position emphasizes safety, accurate documentation, and customer service. Responsibilities include transporting materials to job sites, supervising loading, maintaining records, performing pre-trip inspections, and complying with DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• CDL A license required.
• Clean MVR.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong communication and record-keeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Transport block, mortar, and materials to job sites safely.
• Make deliveries in a timely and safe manner.
• Assist and supervise loading of trucks for proper order and weight distribution.
• Receive instructions from dispatcher and follow them precisely.
• Maintain drivers' daily logs, fuel tickets, and delivery documents as required by regulations.
• Maintain good customer relations and report issues promptly.
• Perform pre-trip inspections and report concerns immediately.
• Obtain signatures and return paperwork to shipping.
• Operate tractor-trailer in accordance with laws and regulations.
• Document routine maintenance of truck and equipment.
• Unload cargo at the job site and ensure safe placement.
• Acquire knowledge of inventory and pallet packaging.
• Report equipment, product quality, or traffic problems promptly.
• Other duties as assigned.
