Position Summary

Merchandisers work in local stores to keep Coca-Cola products fully stocked on the shelves. This position is primarily responsible for maintaining product availability and merchandising products at all designated accounts.

Position Responsibilities May Include, But Not Limited To
  1. Maintaining product in store racks, shelves, displays, and coolers by identifying replenishment needs; transporting product between backroom and display floor with manual equipment (e.g., pallet jack, handtruck); replenishing, facing, and rotating product; building, changing, and taking down product displays; maintaining product signage; cleaning product space; and securing damaged or defective product.
  2. Managing backroom by organizing and consolidating backstock (product).
  3. Identifying, monitoring, and reporting backstock inventory levels.
  4. Evaluating and processing damaged or defective product.
  5. Re-packing product.
  6. Organizing backroom materials (e.g., pallets, product shells).
  7. Operating powered equipment (e.g., straddle stacker, powered pallet jack) and manual equipment (e.g., pallet jack).
  8. Completing store documentation.
  9. Cleaning backroom.
  10. Maintaining areas of responsibility in designated accounts by communicating status and concerns to store and company personnel.
  11. Identifying and reporting unsafe working conditions.
  12. Attending and completing company training and certifications; following company and store policies regarding backroom, display floor, replenishment, equipment, and safety.
  13. Following applicable local, state, and federal laws.
  14. Utilizing a mobile device to complete work activities.
  15. Operating a motor vehicle.
  16. Providing customer service to consumers and store personnel by identifying and resolving concerns, answering questions, locating products, and responding to assistance requests.
  17. Other projects or duties as assigned.
Required Skills And Experience
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or meet minimum state legal age requirements.
  • Must have six (6) months of work experience in roles involving heavy lifting and physical activity (e.g., warehouse, construction, healthcare, etc.).
  • Reliable automobile transportation, an acceptable driving record, valid driver license, and auto insurance coverage.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to lift products weighing 25 to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Must pass a post-offer drug test and background check.
Preferred Skills And Experience
  • Beverage industry experience.
  • Customer service experience in problem-solving.
  • One year of experience with manual or powered pallet jacks.
  • Straddle stacker and powered pallet jack certifications.
Physical Demands And Work Environment
  • Repetitive lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for at least 6 hours and walk at least 4 miles during shift.
  • Ability to manipulate objects requiring fine motor skills.
  • Readability of small to large print.
