Job summary

Builders FirstSource is hiring a CDL Delivery Driver to transport materials to customer sites. You will drive trucks over 26,000 lbs, assist with loading, and help unload while protecting products and customer property.

You’ll verify orders, maintain delivery logs, and coordinate with customers as a liaison. A Class A CDL, MVR check, and safety compliance are required, with home nightly expectations.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old.
• Valid driver's license and a Class A CDL.
• Minimum 1 year of delivery driving experience; 2 years strongly preferred.
• Pass MVR report.
• DOT medical card within 5 days of request.
• Less than 5 moving violations in the last 5 years.
• Basic math and measurement skills.

Responsibilities

• Load or assist with loading building materials and secure product in the delivery vehicle.
• Deliver customer orders to sites and assist unloading; protect product and customer property.
• Verify order details; maintain logs of duties, weights, mileage, and locations; check against invoices.
• Serve as a customer service liaison, addressing concerns.
• Keep delivery vehicles clean; perform routine safety checks to ensure compliance.
• Use handheld devices (DVIR/HOS) while not driving to document duties.
• Maintain hours-of-service logs and pre/post trip inspections.
• May handle credit/product return pickups and related paperwork.
• Operate forklift or other handling equipment to load and unload materials.
