Job summary

Wooster Motor Ways, Inc. is hiring a dependable Company Driver for regional freight. You will operate Class A tractors, perform inspections, secure loads and manage paperwork. Local routes offer home time daily with strong pay and benefits.

Starting compensation is based on line haul with 25% and increases to 28% after 90 days. Benefits include health coverage, 401(k), paid vacation, holidays, and other driver perks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Class A CDL with HazMat endorsement preferred not required.
• Must pass DOT/FMCSA physical and logs.
• TWIC card preferred not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class A tractor-trailers to transport freight.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report defects promptly.
• Load, secure, and inspect cargo; handle hazmat or temp-sensitive freight per procedures.
• Maintain accurate HOS logs and DOT/FMCSA paperwork.
• Verify bills of lading; obtain signatures and receipts.
• Plan routes to meet pickup and delivery windows.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance and keep trailer clean.
