Job summary

Wooster Motor Ways is seeking a dependable Company Driver to haul freight across regional lanes. You will operate Class A tractors, perform inspections, load and secure cargo, and maintain DOT logs.

The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and clear communication with dispatch. We offer daily local and regional runs, a straightforward pay structure with weekly earnings of $1500–$1800 for new drivers, and home time for the Plymouth/Wabash area.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with 1 year of experience.
• HazMat endorsement preferred but not required.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• TWIC card preferred, not required.
• Must pass and maintain all DOT/FMCSA physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class A tractor-trailers to transport freight and specialized cargo.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report defects promptly.
• Load, secure, and inspect cargo; follow handling procedures for hazmat or temperature-sensitive freight.
• Maintain accurate HOS logs and required DOT/FMCSA paperwork.
• Verify bills of lading, collect signatures, and ensure complete paperwork.
• Plan routes and schedules to meet pickup and delivery windows.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance and keep trailer clean and ready.
