Job summary

Perdue Transportation Incorporated (PTI) is seeking a Local Driver to keep our operations moving and serve customers on time. You will safely operate tractor-trailer equipment between company locations, handle drop and hook, and represent the Perdue Farms brand with professionalism.

Requires a CDL A, High School diploma, and at least two years of over-the-road driving. You must travel to customers and facilities, comply with DOT hours-of-service, and maintain safe loading and unloading practices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum two years over the road Tractor/Trailer driving experience.
• Valid CDL A License.

Responsibilities

• Maneuver and deliver/backhaul truckloads to plants, customers, and distributors.
• Observe DOT hours of service, logs, inspections, and secure loads using on-board systems.
• Operate tractor and trailer legally and safely per laws and company policies.
• Complete company paperwork including manifests, bills of lading, and trip reports.
• Assist with loading/unloading as required and ensure accurate case counts.
