Job summary

Perdue Farms’ Perdue Transportation Incorporated (PTI) is seeking a Feed Delivery Driver to load and deliver feed to assigned customers, coordinating with dispatch to meet daily delivery priorities.

You will perform pre-trip inspections, verify correct feed weight, operate loading equipment safely, maintain accurate records, and contribute to fleet reliability and on-time service for our poultry operations.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent.
• Class A CDL license.
• 2+ years of CDL A driving, preferably delivering feed.
• Reading, writing and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Load and deliver feed to assigned customers, coordinating with dispatch to meet daily delivery priorities.
• Perform a pre-trip truck inspection according to a DOT sheet, reporting deficiencies to fleet mechanics.
• Ensure correct weight of feed is loaded and delivered to farms.
• Operate boom to load and direct feed, avoiding spills and reporting issues.
• Maintain records of fuel purchases, trip tickets, daily logs and time sheets.
• May need to climb truck to direct loading and occasionally use a sledgehammer to remove stuck feed.
• Perform other duties as required.
