Job summary

Bulk Express Transport seeks a Local Driver to move trailers between job sites, transfer stations, and yards. The role supports efficient, safe loading and transport operations and returns home daily. The position is paid hourly and reports to the Driver Manager.

The candidate must hold a valid Class A CDL, have at least 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience, and meet DOT qualifications. Pre-employment drug testing and a clean MVR are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Minimum 2 years of verifiable Class A tractor-trailer driving experience; construction/landfill/waste site a plus.
• Must meet DOT/FMCSA driver qualifications and have a valid medical certificate.
• Clean MVR and safety history per company/insurance standards.
• Pass pre-employment drug and alcohol test and participate in DOT random testing.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate tractors and trailers to shuttle loaded and empty trailers between job sites and transfer points.
• Work on customer sites moving loads as directed by management or site supervisor.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and DVIRs; report defects.
• Accurately record hours worked and hours of service per company systems.
• Hook/unhook trailers; ensure connections and tarps are secure and within weight limits.
• Coordinate with loading/tarping staff to keep trailers moving with minimal delays.
• Complete required paperwork, trip sheets and tickets accurately.
• Follow all site rules, safety procedures, and PPE requirements.
