Job summary

Bulk-Express-Transport seeks a Local Driver to move loaded and empty trailers over short distances and on customer sites. You will be home daily and report to the Driver Manager. The role is paid hourly and requires a Class A CDL with safe driving history.

Responsibilities include pre-trip inspections, accurate DVIRs, maintaining logs, and coordinating with operations to keep deliveries moving efficiently. Flexibility for overtime and varied shifts is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of verifiable Class A tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Must meet DOT/FMCSA driver qualification requirements including a valid medical card.
• Ability to operate safely in loading yards, transfer stations and on roadways.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate tractors and trailers to shuttle loads between job sites and yards.
• Record hours and adhere to hours-of-service requirements using the company system.
• Complete DVIRs, inspect equipment, and report defects immediately.
• Ensure loads are secured, tarped and within weight limits for road travel.
• Coordinate with site staff to keep trailers moving and minimize delays.
