Job summary

Genuine Parts Company (NAPA Private Fleet) is seeking a CDL A Local Driver to operate various tractor-trailer combinations between company facilities and customer sites. You will deliver freight, perform pre-trip inspections, and log hours in the ELD, while maintaining compliance with FMCSA/DOT regulations.

The role features a Monday–Friday home-daily schedule, no-touch freight, drop-and-hook opportunities, and paid safety training.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 23 years of age.
• Must hold a valid CDL.
• CDL Class A with Haz-Mat endorsement.
• At least 2 years of CDL experience.
• Must pass MVR check.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
• Ability to operate tablets, computers & e-logs.
• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance (FMCSA/DOT).

Responsibilities

• Transport and deliver freight regionally for short or long distances.
• Perform inspection and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Ensure operations comply with state and federal laws and regulations.
• Log work/rest periods in the ELD system.
• Safely load, unload, and secure all loads.
• Interpret manifests, bills of lading, and shipping documents.
• Follow company policies and CMV regulations.
• Complete shipping and billing paperwork and maintain records.
• Communicate with Dispatch/Operations regarding movements, issues, or delays.
• Represent the Company in a professional manner.
• Follow FMCSA and DOT rules and regulations.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
