Job summary

DSV Air & Sea Inc. in Kent, WA is seeking a Local Driver (CDL A) to execute same-day pickup and delivery within a defined area, home daily.

You will safely operate a CDL A vehicle, complete multiple stops, and maintain accurate POD and ELD documentation while representing DSV professionally at all customer interactions. The role emphasizes a safety-first mindset, attention to detail, and delivering high-quality, professional service for time-sensitive freight across local routes.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL A License required.
• Minimum 2 years of CDL A driving experience within the last 4 years (3+ years preferred).
• Must meet DOT qualification requirements (FMCSR 391.41).
• Experience in local P&D operations, multi-stop routing, and urban driving environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform local pickup and delivery (P&D) routes within an assigned service area; home daily.
• Safely operate a CDL A commercial vehicle while adhering to all DOT and company regulations.
• Complete multiple stops per day, including pickups, deliveries, and potential returns.
• Provide white glove service, including handling sensitive, high-value, or time-critical freight with care.
• Interact professionally with customers, ensuring clear communication and high service standards at all delivery points.
• Accurately complete and manage shipping documents, POD, and electronic logs (ELD).
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
• Safely back trailers into docks and maneuver in tight or congested delivery locations.
