Job summary

Lynden Transport is seeking a Local Driver in Washington to operate tractor-trailer or straight truck, delivering cargo to designated locations. The driver must adhere to safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and maintain proper documentation.

Candidates should hold a Class A CDL with HazMat (and possibly doubles endorsement), have a GED or HS diploma, and a clean driving record. Lynden offers competitive pay with regular increases, plus medical, dental, and vision coverage and retirement

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Current, valid Commercial Drivers License (Class A) with hazardous materials endorsement.
• Doubles endorsement may be required.

Responsibilities

• Drives tractor-trailer or straight truck to transport cargo according to company procedures and regulations.
• Loads and unloads cargo; ensures load is secure with cargo straps, tarps, ropes, chains or other tools.
• Maintains shipping documents and logs; reports safety hazards and accidents immediately.
• Inspects vehicle before, during, and after trips and notes any defects; installs/removes tire chains as needed.
