Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics in the USA is seeking a Local Shuttle Driver to perform deliveries within a 50-mile radius using a 26’ box truck. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and customer service.

The position requires a CDL A license with 2+ years of recent CDL A experience, compliance with DOT/FMCSR 391.41, and the ability to coordinate with dispatchers. Benefits include insurance, 401K, PTO, and more.

Qualifications

• CDL A license required.
• Minimum 2 years CDL A driving experience within the last 4 years; 3+ years preferred.
• Meet DOT qualification requirements, FMCSR 391.41.
• Experience in load securement, route planning, and navigating various road conditions.
• Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to handle sensitive cargo with care.
• TWIC or eligible to obtain a TWIC card within 90 days, if required.

Responsibilities

• Operate 26’ box truck safely and in compliance with all traffic laws and the Department of Transportation.
• Accurately and efficiently load and unload cargo, often using a manual or powered pallet jack.
• Backs truck to customer dock.
• Maintains compliance with Federal and State safety regulations and safe and professional driving behavior.
• Communicates with customer representatives in pleasant, respectful, and efficient manner.
• Coordinating with dispatchers.
• Complies with all DOT requirements including drug and alcohol testing (subject to random and reasonable-suspicion testing).
• Securing cargo and properly balancing it within the vehicle.
• Ensure that any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before driving.
• Performs other duties as required.
