Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. is hiring Local P&D or City Drivers in the United States. You will operate tractor-trailers between service centers and customer locations, loading, unloading, and securing freight while following DOT rules.

Applicants should have a Class A CDL with required endorsements, a valid driving record, and at least 12 months of experience or completion of a state-approved training program. Excellent safety, accuracy, and teamwork are valued in this role.

Competenze

• CDL Class A with double/triple trailers, tanker and hazmat endorsements.
• 12 months tractor-trailer driving experience or completion of approved driving program.
• Must pass DOT medical, drug and alcohol tests.
• Must be 22 years of age or older.
• Must read, write, and speak English; good oral communication.
• Valid motor vehicle record with safe driving history.
• Able to operate tablets for routing and communications.

Mansioni

• Operate vehicle safely under DOT regulations and service requirements.
• Load and unload freight; use pallet jack or forklift as needed.
• Secure freight inside trailers with straps and other devices.
• Read shipping labels and prepare related freight documents.
• Meet pickup and delivery schedules; communicate with service centers.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and proper vehicle maintenance.
