Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. is seeking Local P&D or City Drivers to move freight between service centers and customer sites nationwide. You will load, unload, and secure cargo while adhering to DOT regulations and safety standards, ensuring timely deliveries.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak English.
• Must have a valid Class A CDL with double/triple trailers, tanker, and hazardous material endorsements.
• Must pass DOT medical, drug and alcohol tests, and meet U.S. DOT standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer safely per DOT regulations.
• Load/unload freight and secure cargo.
• Read shipping labels and complete required freight forms.
• Maintain logs and comply with hours-of-service rules.
• Communicate with service centers and customers as required.
