Job summary

GEODIS is hiring a Commercial Truck Driver (CDL-A) for a local, part-time role in New Jersey. The driver will operate a Class A vehicle, comply with FMCSA/DOT regulations, and ensure safe, timely deliveries to customers.

Duties include pre-trip inspections, accurate record-keeping, and clear communication with dispatch and customers. The position offers flexible shifts (Thurs-Sun) with 1st & 2nd shift options, and opportunities for advancement within GEODIS.

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years of experience as a Class A CDL Driver.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must understand DOT/FMCSA regulations and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate and drive a Class A commercial motor vehicle in compliance with FMCSA/DOT regulations.
• Safely load, transport, and unload goods according to delivery schedules.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and hours of service.
• Communicate with dispatchers and customers to ensure smooth deliveries.
• Provide excellent customer service at delivery points.
