Job summary

GEODIS in New Jersey is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to join our logistics team. You will operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle in compliance with FMCSA and DOT regulations, safely transporting goods and delivering on schedule.

Key requirements include a minimum of 2 years of Class A CDL driving experience, knowledge of DOT and FMCSA rules, and the ability to communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers. We offer multiple shifts and a safety-first work environment.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Class A CDL Driver.
Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations.
Must have a valid CDL and road test certificate.
Must be 21 years or older.
Must not be disqualified to drive a CMV.

Responsibilities

Operate and drive a Class A commercial motor vehicle in compliance with FMCSA and DOT regulations.
Safely load, transport, and unload goods according to delivery schedules.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safe operation.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle inspections, hours of service.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members.
Adhere to GEODIS policies and safety protocols and reporting requirements.
Provide excellent customer service at delivery points.
Report incidents, accidents, or delays promptly.
