Job summary

Oldcastle APG, Inc. in Denton, TX is hiring a CDL A delivery driver focused on flatbed operations. You will be responsible for delivering and picking up building materials to job sites with an emphasis on safety and on-time performance.

You will assist with loading, maintain accurate paperwork, and build strong relationships with customers while upholding DOT regulations and vehicle maintenance requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with Moffett equipment is required.
• CDL A license is required for driving flatbed loads.
• At least 2 years operating a CDL A vehicle; flatbed experience is a plus.
• Clean driving record; good communication skills.
• Forklift certification is a plus; bilingual abilities are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Transport construction materials to job sites safely and on time.
• Assist and supervise truck loading to ensure proper order and weight.
• Receive invoices and directions from dispatch and follow them precisely.
• Maintain records such as DOT logs and fuel receipts per regulations.
• Build and maintain good customer relationships.
• Perform pre-trip inspections and address any concerns.
• Return paperwork to shipping department with signatures.
• Note inventory details and report any product issues promptly.
• Unload cargo at job sites in the best safe area available.
• Monitor product quality and customer satisfaction, report problems.
