Job summary

Central Transport in Charlotte, NC is seeking Local Pick Up and Delivery Drivers. If you want consistent routes with modern equipment and home every night, this is the opportunity for you.

Our drivers are the face of the company, delivering freight on time and damage-free, unloading upon completion of daily routes. We offer industry-leading pay, local home-daily routes, health, dental and vision insurance, HSA contributions, life insurance, paid holidays and vacations.

Qualifications

• 3 Months of recent tractor-trailer experience.
• HazMat and Tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain within 60 days.
• Acceptable motor vehicle record and no DUI in last 5 years (no more than 1 in lifetime).
• Ability to pass a DOT Drug Screen and hair follicle test.

Responsibilities

• Deliver freight on time and damage-free.
• Unload trailer upon completion of daily route.
• Operate vehicle in a safe, compliant manner and follow DOT regulations.

Our Local Pick Up and Delivery Drivers are the face of our company and vital to our customer relations. They are responsible for ensuring that our customers’ freight is delivered on time and damage free. Our drivers also unload their trailer upon completion of their daily route.
