Job summary

Buckhead & Newport Meat and Seafood is seeking a CDL Class A delivery driver to operate daily routes, load and unload products, and ensure accurate deliveries to customers. You will handle palletized goods, verify items with customers, and maintain safety and DOT compliance on every trip.

The role requires physical work, regular overtime, and a commitment to accurate reporting and professional customer interactions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old.
• Pass employment screening.
• Valid Class A CDL.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to communicate and complete reports.
• Physical ability to lift 40–100 lbs repeatedly and handle loading tasks.

Responsibilities

• Runs routes efficiently, meeting or exceeding designated route times.
• Unload product from trailer, by hand or using a hand cart, and place in designated customer storage areas.
• Frequently lift, push, or move product weighing 1–75 pounds, up to 100 pounds; stack/unstack pallets and load carts.
• Verify delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures; contact management for invoice discrepancies.
• Communicate all errors/returns and call in when a customer does not receive their entire order (shorts).
• Handle customer complaints professionally and follow safety procedures.
• Perform pre-trip inspections in line with DOT regulations and company policies.
