Job summary

Sysco in Buckhead Atlanta is seeking drivers for daily routes delivering products to customers. You will load with hand trucks, unload at each stop, and return the truck to the loading dock according to the Transportation Department Manager’s instructions.

Role requires a valid Class A CDL, ability to lift up to 100 pounds, and flexibility for overtime, weekends, and holidays in all weather conditions. DOT-compliant driving and safety are emphasized.

Qualifications

• 21+ years of age.
• Pass employment screening.
• CDL Class A license with driving record meeting company standard.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public and to make entries on reports.
• Touch freight – may lift 40–100 pounds repeatedly.
• Overtime, weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects.
• Runs routes efficiently, meeting or exceeding designated route times.
• Unload product from trailer, by hand or using a hand cart, and place in designated customer storage areas.
• Frequently lift, push, or move product weighing 1–75 pounds, up to 100 pounds; stack/pull pallets with hand cart; bend and twist during loading/unloading.
• Verify delivery of items with customer and obtain signatures; communicate errors/returns.
• Calls in when a customer does not receive their entire order (shorts).
• Handles customer complaints professionally.
• Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies.
