Job summary

Central Oregon Intergovernmental Council (COIC) seeks qualified Local Bus Drivers to provide safe, reliable transit service across Redmond and Bend. Opportunities exist for full-time or part-time schedules with comprehensive benefits as part of Cascades East Transit’s network serving Central Oregon.

Drivers must hold an Oregon CDL Class B with passenger endorsement and be able to pass required background checks. Join CET and support the community through professional, courteous service.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a current Oregon CDL Class B with passenger endorsement and air brake restriction lifted within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to safely operate a commercial motor vehicle and transport passengers.
• Must meet safety-sensitive requirements and maintain a good driving record.
• Strong attendance and reliability with the ability to work varying shifts.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and transport passengers in a commercial motor vehicle.
• Assist passengers with mobility devices and carry-on items as needed.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Collect fares and record passenger trips accurately.
• Report vehicle defects, incidents, and safety concerns to supervision.
• Maintain cleanliness inside the vehicle and complete required daily reports.
