Job summary

CTDI is hiring a Non-CDL Truck Driver for local deliveries in Joliet, IL. The role is a first shift, 6:00AM–3:30PM, with 40–50 hours weekly and overtime up to 10 hours. Pay starts at $24.12 per hour, with weekly pay on Thursdays.

You will inspect the truck, load and unload cargo, ensure security of cargo, and complete required paperwork. Responsibilities include safe operation, DOT compliance, customer service, and adherence to safety regulations.

Qualifications

• 1+ years recent commercial delivery-driving experience or willing to complete a company driving training program.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspects the truck pre- and post-trip.
• Completes vehicle inspection sheets, fuel logs, daily logs, bills of lading, trip records, and expense reports.
• Ensures cargo is loaded, checked, and secured during transit.
• Assists with loading/unloading and obtaining signatures on shipping documents.
• Monitors maintenance and repair of the truck.
• Provides excellent customer service and represents CTDI positively.
• Follows all Federal and State DOT and warehouse safety regulations.
