Job summary

CTDI is hiring a Non-CDL Truck Driver to operate a small box truck within the local area in Joliet, IL. The role offers a 1st shift from 6:00AM to 3:30PM, 40-50 hours weekly with 0-10 hours overtime and a starting pay of $24.12 per hour.

Responsibilities include pre/post-trip inspections, cargo loading, and maintaining logs and shipping documents, while adhering to DOT regulations. Benefits include health and vision insurance, 401(k), and company-paid training.

Qualifications

• 1+ years recent commercial delivery-driving experience or willingness to complete a company driving training program.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license, with a clean driving record.
• Capacity to demonstrate reliability, adaptability, and dependability.
• Good hand-eye coordination.
• Thoroughness and attention to detail in task completion.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the truck pre- and post-trip.
• Accurately complete vehicle inspection sheets, fuel consumption logs, daily log sheets, bills of lading, vehicle trip records, and expense reports.
• Ensure all cargo is loaded, checked, and safely secured during transit.
• Assist with or oversee loading and unloading of cargo to ensure secure transit.
• Acquire all proper signatures on shipping/receiving documents.
• Monitor the maintenance and repair of the truck.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally and representing the company positively.
• Follow all Federal and State DOT regulations as well as warehouse safety regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
