Job summary

CTDI in Joliet, IL seeks a Class A CDL driver for dayshift with early-morning starts. Pay is $30.65 per hour. You will inspect vehicles, secure cargo, complete logs and bills of lading, and ensure compliance with DOT regulations.

This role requires 2+ years of delivery driving experience, a clean driving record, and the ability to lift up to 85 lbs. We offer weekly pay, a monthly incentive bonus, comprehensive benefits, paid holidays, and a supportive family-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Requires a commercial driver’s license (Class A CDL) and appropriate endorsements.
• Must be able to obtain a DOT medical card and maintain a complete US DOT driver qualification file.
• 2+ years recent commercial delivery-driving experience.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license, with a clean driving record.
• Capacity to demonstrate reliability, adaptability, and dependability.
• Good hand-eye coordination.
• Thoroughness and attention to detail in task completion.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspects the truck pre- and post-trip.
• Accurately complete vehicle inspection sheets, fuel consumption logs, daily log sheets, bills of lading, vehicle trip records, and expense reports.
• Ensures all cargo is loaded, checked, and safely secured during transit.
• Assists with or oversees loading and unloading of cargo to ensure secure transit.
• Acquires all proper signatures on shipping/receiving documents.
• Monitors the maintenance and repair of the truck.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally and representing the company positively.
• Responsible for following all Federal and State DOT regulations as well as warehouse safety regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
