Job summary

Bridge Point is hiring Banquet Server local staff in the Chicago area to provide professional food and beverage service at banquets, conferences, weddings, corporate events, meetings, receptions, and other special events.

The ideal candidates are reliable, guest-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced event environment while maintaining high standards of service, cleanliness, and professionalism. Local candidates preferred for local assignments and opportunities to grow in hospitality.

Qualifications

• Previous banquet, serving, catering, restaurant, hotel, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced event environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner
• Provide attentive food and beverage service during banquet and special events
• Set up banquet rooms, tables, chairs, place settings, linens, and service stations
• Serve food and beverages according to established banquet service standards
• Assist with plated meals, buffet service, passed hors d'oeuvres, and beverage service
• Clear plates, glasses, and other items from tables promptly and efficiently
• Reset and maintain tables and event spaces throughout the event
• Keep service areas clean, organized, and properly stocked
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and questions
• Assist with event setup, breakdown, and cleanup as needed
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
• Work closely with banquet captains, supervisors, kitchen staff, bartenders, and other event personnel
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude throughout each assignment
• Perform other banquet and hospitality-related duties as assigned
