Job summary

The Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee, part of Marcus Hotels & Resorts, is seeking a part-time bartender who crafts premium cocktails and delivers warm, personalized service to our guests in a premier luxury setting.

Responsibilities include knowing beverage offerings, suggesting pairings, processing orders responsibly, and keeping bars organized. Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, is required.

What you will be doing

• Craft and serve premium cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages while maintaining exceptional quality, consistency, and presentation standards.
• Deliver warm, personalized guest service by engaging with patrons, making menu recommendations, and creating memorable lounge experiences.
• Maintain expert knowledge of beverage offerings, seasonal features, and food pairings to confidently answer guest questions and drive sales.
• Accurately process guest orders and payments while ensuring compliance with responsible alcohol service and hotel policies.
• Keep the bar, lounge, and service areas clean, stocked, and organized, including replenishing supplies, preparing garnishes, and supporting opening and closing duties.

Position Requirements

• Minimum one year of bartending experience in a restaurant, lounge, hotel, or upscale hospitality environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cocktail preparation, spirits, wine, beer, and responsible alcohol service practices.
• Outstanding guest service and communication skills with the ability to build rapport and create memorable experiences.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple guest requests with accuracy and professionalism.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 30 pounds, and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
