Overview
The primary purpose of the Lobby Lounge Attendant is to serve our guests and maintain the highest possible guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Carry out all reasonable requests by management within your capabilities.
- Follow all company and local standard policies and procedures.
- Make all specialty coffees, including iced drinks and alcoholic coffees.
- Serve beverages, muffins, sandwiches, pastries, and drinks to customers.
- Perform basic inventory of all bottled beverages, pastries, and supplies.
- Know and understand all drinks and pastries offered and the hours of operation.
- Participate in all departmental meetings and training provided by the hotel.
- Attend daily pre-shift and stand-up meetings.
- Ensure your station is clean, neat, and in accordance with restaurant standards.
- Balance cash float at the end of each shift and deposit sales for the day.
- Follow proper cash handling procedures as per hotel policies.
- Must be bondable.
- Answer the Lobby Lounge phone promptly.
- Respond to all guest requests and complaints professionally; escalate to supervisor when necessary.
- Keep side tables stocked, neat, and tidy.
- Maintain a clean and organized work and back area.
- Return guest items to the guest or give them to Housekeeping.
- Report to the Restaurant Supervisor/Manager at the end of your shift.
- Prioritize safety and follow all health and safety requirements.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- No prior barista experience required but preferred.
- Previous guest/customer service experience required.
- Knowledge of proper customer service etiquette.
- ProServe/ProTect certification is an asset.
- Good health and personal hygiene.
- Interest in learning about food and beverage service.
- Cheerful, positive attitude.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to handle stressful situations effectively.
- Proficient in English (verbal, written, reading).
The schedule may vary and requires flexibility to work shifts, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
