Job description

Where the Desert Sun Meets Genuine Hospitality

Picture this: the South Mountains standing sentinel against a Phoenix sky, the hum of a resort that has welcomed guests with AAA Four Diamond distinction, and you — the very first smile, the very first “hello” that sets the tone for someone’s entire stay. This isn’t just a post by the host stand. It’s the opening scene of every guest’s story at Arizona Grand Resort & Spa.

We’re looking for a warm, quick-witted individual who understands that first impressions aren’t made — they’re crafted. If you believe hospitality is equal parts art and instinct, read on.

The Role You’ll Play
  • Greet arriving guests with genuine warmth, offer their choice of seating, and escort them to the table that fits their mood and moment.
  • Lead or join daily “roll call” huddles — the pulse of our restaurant — covering specials, promotions, guest feedback, and the day’s happenings.
  • Manage reservations and special function details with precision and care.
  • Answer phones with the kind of friendly professionalism that makes people feel expected, not just scheduled.
  • Jump in wherever needed — pouring coffee, refreshing menus, polishing windows, and keeping every detail guest‑ready.
What You Bring
  • A high school diploma (preferred) and a natural gift for making people feel welcome.
  • Prior restaurant experience is a plus, but energy and attentiveness matter most.
  • Maricopa County Food Service Worker card and CPR/First Aid certification are preferred.
  • A working knowledge of restaurant rhythms — staffing, service flow, and the subtle art of guest relations.
  • The ability to memorize menus, resolve concerns gracefully, and rise to Four Diamond and Mystery Shopper standards without missing a beat.
Who You Are
  • Ethical, professional, and effortlessly polished — because appearance and integrity speak before words do.
  • A clear, confident communicator fluent in the language of hospitality (and English, for the paperwork).
  • Someone who treats every guest like the only guest — always.
Why Here, Why Now

Nestled against the sun-warmed peaks of South Mountain Park — one of the largest municipal parks in the country — Arizona Grand Resort & Spa is more than a workplace. It’s a destination unto itself, complete with a nine-acre water park, championship golf, and a spa that rivals any in the Valley of the Sun. Working here means being surrounded by Phoenix’s best: year‑round sunshine, vibrant desert landscapes, and a city that never stops growing, innovating, and welcoming.

If you’re ready to be the spark that starts every great guest experience, we’d love to meet you.

The Arizona Grand Resort & Spa’s leaders and associates believe each guest should be treated with respect and professionalism. We create a genuine experience, enticing our guests to return again and again. In order to be successful at The Arizona Grand Resort & Spa, associates must share both our Purpose (Making Space for Genuine Hospitality) and Pillars (Hands On & Heartfelt, Sincere & Focused, Collaborative & Curious, and Conscientious). This includes possessing and demonstrating a high level of courtesy and respect for both internal and external guests. Our fun, friendly and enthusiastic associates treat every guest as if they were our only guest. A true customer focus is essential to success with our property.
