The bartender plays a vital role in our restaurant, responsible for taking orders, preparing beverages, serving guests, selling food, and building repeat clientele. Your skills, knowledge, and personality are key to providing a dining experience that exceeds expectations. Responsibilities and Authorities:

• Always treat guests with courtesy and respect in all situations.
• Maintain honesty and integrity.
• Report any accidents or incidents immediately.
• Greet guests with eye contact and acknowledge them promptly.
• Use guest names whenever possible.
• Report guest concerns to management in a timely manner.

Specific Duties:

• Acknowledge all bar guests immediately, even during busy times.
• Take orders using sales techniques and make recommendations.
• Read guests and suggest accordingly.
• Input orders correctly into the POS system.
• Have strong knowledge of house cocktails and standard recipes.
• Know the wine list and be able to answer questions.
• Prepare beverages quickly for bar and service bar.
• Open wine and champagne bottles using proper techniques.
• Anticipate guest needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests.
• Interact courteously and professionally with guests, supervisors, and co-workers.
• Resolve guest complaints proactively.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar.
• Mark all bar guests for courses in advance of food delivery.
• Maintain menu knowledge and stay updated on changes.
• Recognize and alert management to special guests or high spenders.
• Ensure accuracy of checks and process payments promptly.
• Handle cash correctly, give correct change, and close out cash checks.
• Complete end-of-shift checkouts and notify management of shift-related information.
• Follow responsible alcohol service practices, including carding guests under 40.
• Adhere to health department procedures and best practices.

Requirements:

• 40 hours of professional bartending classes.

Pay Rate: $11.00/hour + Tips
