Grand Hyatt Nashville invites a Lobby Bartender to elevate guest experiences with craft cocktails, drink service, and hospitality in a fast-paced hotel bar. You will manage bar operations, maintain cleanliness, stock supplies, and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere across outlet service.

The role requires high school completion, TIPS certification, and the ability to meet state age requirements for alcohol service. Prior hotel/bar experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails and other drinks.

• Display bottled goods and glasses attractively.
• Wash glasses and bar equipment.
• Greet guests warmly and provide hospitality.
• In lead role, supervise associates in the absence of a supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.

Your ability to craft beverages, manage bar operations, and create a welcoming atmosphere directly impacts guest satisfaction, food and beverage revenue, and brand reputation. Whether serving solo or supporting a team, your presence at the bar influences the energy and pace of service across the outlet.

How You’ll Shape The Experience & Future

• Mix ingredients, such as liquor, soda, water, sugar and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
• Serve wine draught, bottled beer, non-alcoholic beverages and food.
• Collect money for drinks served.
• Orders and requisitions liquors and supplies. Stock and replenish glasses, beverages, mixes, fruit, and guest supplies.
• Place bottled goods and glasses to make an attractive display.
• Wash glasses, bar, and equipment.
• Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks; prepare appetizers, such as pickles, cheese and cold meats.
• Take the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.
• If functioning in a Lead Capacity: (a) take responsibility for assigned associates in the absence of the Supervisor, (b) assign work, and ensure proper performance of assigned associates.
• Other duties as assigned.

Professional Experience

• Previous bartending experience in a hotel, bar, or restaurant environment preferred
• Experience with cash handling, POS systems, and bar setup/teardownFamiliarity with food pairing and cross-selling techniques considered a plus
• Capable of working independently or as part of a larger service team

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

• High school diploma or equivalent required
