Job Overview

The Lobby Attendant cleans lobby, restrooms, and public areas in safe and efficient compliance with policies and procedures, brand standards, and federal, state, and local regulations. Promptly reports emergencies, accidents, injuries, missing articles, damage, engineering items, and safety hazards to management. Reports any deviations from policies, procedures, brand standards, and regulations to management.

What You'll Be Doing
  1. Walk all assigned spaces at beginning and end of shift. Remove newspapers, trash, empty ash receptacles, and note any areas that require immediate cleaning.
  2. Clean assigned public areas including dusting, polishing, vacuuming, glass cleaning, and trash removal. Clean public elevators. Clean public restrooms and stock with supplies. Perform quality checks on public space televisions, telephones, and lamps.
  3. Clean offices as assigned.
  4. Use cleaning equipment and supplies appropriately and properly.
  5. Promptly report emergencies, injuries, missing articles, damage, mechanical problems, and safety hazards to housekeeping management.
  6. Promptly hand in all articles left in public spaces for entry into Lost and Found.
  7. Perform duties of Houseperson, Room Attendant, or Laundry Attendant as assigned.
Skills And Abilities
  1. Previous experience in housekeeping or a related role is a plus.
  2. Attention to detail, thoroughness, and knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, chemicals, and equipment.
  3. Ability to work independently and efficiently to complete assigned rooms, organize housekeeping carts, and other tasks.
  4. Strong communication skills for interacting with guests and team members.
  5. Basic understanding of safety and sanitation practices.
  6. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Working Conditions & Physical Effort

Physical work is a primary part of many hotel and resort jobs. Requirements include extended standing and walking, climbing, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Some work is performed in an interior hotel environment with equipment and machines.
