Job summary

DoubleTree by Hilton – Downtown South Bend is seeking a dependable Lobby Attendant to join our Housekeeping team. This role helps create a great first impression by keeping the lobby and public areas clean, organized, and guest-ready throughout the day.

Weekend availability and reliable attendance are required. You will maintain cleanliness of lobby, restrooms, hallways, and other common spaces, assist with linen and trash, and support Room Attendants as needed to ensure a welcoming hotel

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, welcoming hotel lobby and entrance areas
• Clean and sanitize public restrooms
• Vacuum and maintain guest corridors and hallways
• Clean and maintain stairwells and other public spaces
• Empty trash and dispose of waste
• Keep housekeeping closets and service areas organized
• Assist with collecting and transporting dirty linen and trash
• Deliver clean linen and housekeeping supplies when needed
• Complete scheduled deep-cleaning and special cleaning projects
• Respond promptly to spills, cleanliness concerns, and guest needs; report maintenance or safety concerns
• Follow Lost & Found procedures
• Use proper two-way radio etiquette
• Follow hotel safety, sanitation, and cleaning procedures
• Assist Room Attendants and other Housekeeping team members
• Help ensure all public areas remain guest-ready throughout the shift

The DoubleTree by Hilton in the heart of downtown South Bend is looking for a dependable, hardworking Lobby Attendant to join our Housekeeping team.

This position plays an important role in creating a great first impression for our guests by keeping our lobby, public areas, restrooms, hallways, stairwells, and other common areas clean, organized, and guest-ready throughout the day.

Weekend availability and reliable attendance are required.

Job Summary

The Lobby Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the hotel's public areas. This position may also assist the Housekeeping team with linen, trash removal, special cleaning projects, and guestroom support as business needs require.

What You'll Do

• Maintain a clean and welcoming hotel lobby and entrance areas
• Clean and sanitize public restrooms
• Vacuum and maintain guest corridors and hallways
• Clean and maintain stairwells and other public spaces
• Empty trash and properly dispose of waste throughout assigned areas
• Keep housekeeping closets, service areas, and public spaces neat and organized
• Assist with collecting and transporting dirty linen and trash

What We're Looking For

• Previous hotel, housekeeping, janitorial, or cleaning experience is preferred but not required
• Dependable with strong attendance and punctuality
• Ability to work independently and stay productive throughout the shift
• Friendly, professional, and willing to assist guests and team members
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions and established cleaning procedures
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
• Willingness to assist in different areas of the hotel as business needs require
• Weekend and holiday availability required
• Flexible availability based on hotel occupancy and business needs

Physical Requirements

This is an active position that requires the ability to:

• Stand and walk for the majority of the shift
• Bend, reach, kneel, push, pull, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks
• Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Frequently move items weighing up to 20 pounds
• Safely operate housekeeping and cleaning equipment
