Job summary

The Karol Hotel in Clearwater, FL is seeking a Room/Lobby Attendant to clean and maintain public areas and assist with guest room cleaning as needed, ensuring service aligns with Marriott's Tribute Portfolio standards.

Report to the Housekeeping Manager and support VIP arrivals, inventory, and cart restocking while upholding professional communication and guest confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or higher.
• Previous hospitality experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to use technology e.g. tablets, iPads.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in public spaces with a warm and friendly greeting.
• Take care of any guests' special requests for pre-arrival e.g. foam pillows, extra towels.
• Maintain all hallways to ensure they are free from dust and/or scuffs, windowsills, door frames and base boards.
• Sweep and/or vacuum hallways daily.
• Assist with the cleaning of guest rooms, as needed with Marriott safety requirements.
• Clean inside the elevators and polish elevator tracks and landings.
• Maintain closets in order and keep par levels to standard.
• Keep stairwells and ice machine areas free from debris.
• Follow scheduled shifts and break/lunch requirements.
• Deep clean on rotational schedule using Marriott hotel standards.
• Assist with VIP arrivals.
• Assist in restocking and reorganizing the housekeepers' carts daily.
• Report any light outages, broken equipment, or room disparities to manager.
• Assist guests with any special requests.
• Communicate inventory needs e.g. amenities, pillowcases, bed linen, robes, etc.
• Professional communication while using technology.
• Respect all guests, team members, and management by maintaining a positive, friendly attitude.
• Interact with guests and share hotel knowledge using personalization, such as using the guest name.
• Maintain guest confidentiality following Marriott hotel procedures.
• Report any suspicious activity or unusual items in room.
• Report any irregular behavior from guests in public areas and/or in rooms.
• Take initiative and handle assignments with limited supervision.
• Follow Marriott hotel policies and procedures as outlined in the team member handbook.
• Maintain cleanliness and order of work area such as closets, carts, and housekeeping office.
• Personal grooming and appearance to be a professional standard.
• Refrain from cell phone use in public areas.
• Train and operate all company cell phones and radios in a professional manner.

Job Summary

The Karol Hotel is a boutique hotel located in the Feather Sound area of Clearwater, FL, convenient to the beaches, St Pete, and Tampa. The Karol features 123 rooms and suites, and features Katch Restaurant and Vantage Rooftop Bar, along with ballrooms and conference rooms to host events. The Karol Hotel is part of Marriott's Tribute Portfolio.

Room/Lobby Attendants will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining all interior and exterior public areas to ensure exceptional service to all guests that is consistent and continually in accordance with Marriott's Tribute Portfolio standards. Room Attendants report to the Housekeeping Manager.

• Distribute necessary items to the assigned housekeepers
• Assist with banquet function of the hotel to include set up of tables and chairs
• Ensure successful performance assisting guests with an exceptional experience to ensure high performing scores on Marriott's Guest Satisfaction Survey
