Job summary

Hyatt Regency Houston-Downtown is seeking a passionate Bartender to craft classic cocktails and deliver outstanding guest experiences. You will work behind a bustling bar, recommend beverages, and maintain cleanliness and safety standards in a fast-paced hotel setting.

Candidates should have strong mixology knowledge, excellent communication, and a commitment to hospitality. Previous bartending experience in hotels or high-volume venues is preferred, along with Texas alcohol-service

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, beer, wine, spirits, and responsible alcohol service practices.
• Refined verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and stay composed during peak hours.
• Excellent guest service and interpersonal skills with diverse guests.
• Previous bartending experience, preferably in a hotel, resort, restaurant, or high-volume bar.
• Must meet state/local alcohol service certification requirements (e.g., TABC in Texas).

Bartenders are responsible for providing libations and offering customized recommendations. The right person should be familiar with the latest in mixology, bar equipment, and sanitation standards, with a focus on maintaining an attractive bar. Preferred candidates will have understanding of state and local serving guidelines.
