Job summary

Northwest Plus Credit Union in Everett, WA seeks a Consumer Loan Underwriter to handle member and indirect loan applications from origination through funding. You will input, review credit reports, underwrite within personal limits, scan documents, and ensure adherence to policies while protecting member data.

The ideal candidate works independently with strong communication skills, is detail oriented, and supports a courteous, professional member experience; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Input and process loan applications from online channels.
• Read and interpret credit reports.
• Underwrite consumer loans within set limits.
• Scan documents into imaging system and maintain records.
• Follow Lending & CU policies and protect member data.
• Represent the credit union in a courteous, honest and professional manner while maintaining confidentiality.
• Work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Be familiar with and adhere to Consumer Loan rules and regulations.
• Other duties and tasks as assigned.

SUMMARY

Provide exceptional service to our members and expand consumer loan relationships by handling member and indirect loan applications. Accurately and efficiently, process loan applications,

from origination through funding.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Inputting loan applications, review and process online applications.
• Ability to read and understand credit reports.
• Complete Consumer Loan Underwriting within assigned personal limits and guidelines.
• Scan loan documents into imaging system.
• Familiarize with and adhere to Lending & CU policies and procedures.
• Represent the credit union in a courteous, honest and professional manner while maintaining confidentiality with all member data.
• Must be able to work independently and handle multiple priorities under pressure of deadlines and time restraints.
• Ability to; multi task, set priorities, demonstration proficient attention to details, meet deadlines and be well organized.
• Be familiar with and adhere to Consumer Loan rules and regulations.
• Other duties and tasks as assigned.

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS

Performs assigned duties with minimal direct supervision once proper training is completed.

COMPUTER SKILLS

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Office Products and other Database software.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
