Job summary

Farmers and Merchants Bank of Long Beach is seeking a Lending Specialist 2 to join the Business Banking Group in Seal Beach, CA. The role focuses on loan processing, documentation, and portfolio management, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across loan origination and servicing.

You will support regional lending personnel, review complex documents, and coordinate signings while maintaining electronic files and complying with CIP, AML, and other regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Active Notary Commission preferred.
• Knowledge of BSA, FCRA, ECOA and related banking regs.
• Experience with loan documentation and processing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Verify borrower information and documentation during loan applications.
• Review entity documentation to determine signers and approvals.
• Coordinate loan signings and closing documents for accuracy.
• Maintain electronic loan files and ensure proper filing in Laserfiche.
• Support loan officers with portfolio management and post‑closing items.
• Assist with compliance and regulatory requirements across processes.
