Valley Credit Union seeks a Loan Specialist to evaluate, approve, and aggressively pursue consumer loans while delivering outstanding member service. The Loan Specialist evaluates, approves and aggressively pursues loans and other loan services within Credit Union loan policy and guidelines. This position develops and manages a personal loan portfolio to meet Credit Union goals and objectives. The Loan Specialist maintains a very high level of member service being proactive in communication with members and associates. This position works in the Lending Center.

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; minimum one year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Previous financial experience preferred.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and/or stand ; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, as necessary.
Base Compensation: $22.18 - $33.26 per hour, DOE.
