Job summary

OCCU is seeking a Loan Servicing Specialist in Eugene, Oregon. This hybrid role combines on-site and remote work, requiring at least three years in lending or loan servicing and strong attention to detail to maintain accurate records.

You will handle loan maintenance, payments, and CPI/GAP-related tasks while coordinating with members and internal teams. Proficiency with MS Office and solid communication are essential for success.

Responsibilities

• Research loan servicing issues, identify errors or exceptions and complete corrections.
• Gather, verify and document information and supporting records in designated systems.
• Process loan maintenance, modifications, payments, payoffs, refunds and CPI-related transactions.
• Review insurance documentation, CPI-related items, premiums and refunds.
• Assist members with GAP claims and coordinate with GAP administrators.
• Process titles, returned titles, returned mail and out-of-state transfer requests.
• Complete loan research, check processing and disbursement requests.
• Manage multiple priorities accurately and independently while collaborating with team.
• Follow policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.

We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Loan Servicing Specialist to join our Loan Servicing team. This position is hybrid, with both on-site and remote work in Oregon. The pay range for this role is $21.50 to $27.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

About The Role

The Loan Servicing Specialist services and maintains loan accounts while providing professional, courteous and solutions-focused support to members, vendors, internal departments and external partners. This role provides accurate and timely information through phone, email, written correspondence and other communication channels to create a positive stakeholder experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Research loan servicing issues, identify errors or exceptions and complete appropriate corrections.
• Gather, verify and document information, actions and supporting records in designated systems and tracking tools.
• Process loan maintenance, modifications, payments, payoffs, refunds and insurance- or GAP-related transactions.
• Review and process insurance documentation, CPI-related items, premiums and refunds.
• Assist members with GAP claims, coordinate with GAP administrators and monitor claims through completion.
• Process physical and electronic titles, returned titles, returned mail and out-of-state transfer requests.
• Complete loan research, check processing, disbursement requests and other daily servicing activities.
• Manage multiple priorities accurately and independently while collaborating with team members and internal partners.
• Follow applicable policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.

What We’re Looking For

• A minimum of three years of lending or loan servicing experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate recordkeeping.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of collateral protection insurance, or CPI, processes.
• Knowledge of GAP claim processes.
• Knowledge of DMV and title-related processes.

Work Environment

This position is hybrid, with both on-site and remote work in Oregon. The role is generally performed within a Monday through Friday schedule, although occasional evening or weekend work may be required based on business needs.
