Job summary

Suffolk Credit Union is seeking a Loan Servicing Specialist to handle day-to-day loan administration, including booking, maintenance, escrow, lien perfection and member inquiries, while delivering accurate, courteous service.

The role requires knowledge of loan servicing functions, regulatory compliance, and proficiency with core banking systems. You will work with multiple departments to ensure data accuracy and timely processing, with growth opportunities and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of loan servicing functions including payments and escrows.
• Understanding of lending regulations.
• Proficiency with core banking systems (DNA, MeridianLink, Temenos).
• Accuracy and attention to data entry and documentation.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent member service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Maintains confidentiality and sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Process new loan bookings, renewals, extensions, and maintenance requests.
• Review loan documents for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor daily reports for payment exceptions and discrepancies; research and resolve issues.
• Maintain collateral records, ensuring lien perfection and timely releases.
• Process payoffs, satisfactions, subordinations, and reconveyances.
• Administer escrow accounts, including disbursements and analyses.
• Post and balance daily loan payments, advances, and adjustments.
• Respond to member inquiries with accurate, courteous service.
• Assist with year-end reporting and monthly reconciliations.
• Maintain documentation and audit trails per compliance standards.
• Support audits and collaborate with other departments to ensure data accuracy.
• Promote process improvements and complete required training.
