Qualifications

• Education: High School or GED required; associate degree or equivalent preferred.
• Certifications such as IRA Specialist and Deceased Specialist are highly desirable.
• Experience: 5+ years’ experience in loan servicing operations or related financial roles.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent communication, multitasking, loan origination/servicing systems, compliance.
• Knowledge of IRS rules related to deposits, IRAs, and deceased member processing.
• Knowledge of unclaimed property laws and escheatment processes.
• Prolonged sitting with occasional mobility; corrected vision; hearing within normal range.

Responsibilities

• Loan Account Maintenance: updates to consumer loan accounts, including payment adjustments and due date changes.
• Transaction Processing: payoff requests, loan adjustments, reversals.
• Title & Collateral Support: vehicle title processing, DMV paperwork.
• Insurance & Ancillary Products: process payouts and refunds.
• Member Interaction: service via phone, email, and other channels for inquiries.
• Compliance: knowledge of state and federal regulations (BSA, SCRA, lending laws).
• Departmental Support: mail processing, document retrieval, workflow monitoring.
• Testing & Validation: system updates and product deployment testing.
• Problem Resolution: research and resolve loan servicing issues.
• Continuous Improvement: identify opportunities for process optimization.
• Training & Development: onboarding and cross-training.
• Record-Keeping: maintain documentation.
• Engagement: foster a positive environment aligned with Golden 1 values.
