Job summary

Great Plains Bank in El Reno, OK is seeking a Loan Assistant to provide underwriting support and to maintain ongoing customer communication throughout the life of the loan.

You will work with commercial, consumer and real estate loans, prepare documents, process payments, review approvals, and help train junior staff.

A high school diploma and 2-3 years of similar experience are typical.

Qualifications

• Ability to solve practical problems and interpret various instructions.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and/or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from other employees, customers and the general public.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Loan Policy and Procedures set forth by the bank.
• Processes loan payments, transfers, and advances; reviews loan approvals for completeness; generates loan documents.
• Maintains credit files and updates loan records; boarding documents on the Bank’s systems.
• Sends form letters and brochures to customers; advises customers by phone or in writing about loan or credit information.
• Promotes and cross-sells other establishment products and services as appropriate to customer requirements.
