The Loan Processor is responsible for supporting the lending team by accurately managing loan documentation, coordinating third party services, balancing reports, and ensuring all aspects of the loan file are complete from pre-approval through closing. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance, timeliness, and accuracy in loan processing operations.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Hours:
- Hours vary between Monday - Friday 7:30am - 5:30pm.
Essential Functions:
- Review and verify loan application documentation for accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare consumer and commercial loan documents for closing.
- Track outstanding documentation and follow up with loan officers, and third parties as necessary.
- Provide timely updates on loan status, missing items, and expected timelines.
- Disburse loan funds accurately and ensure all loan funding steps are completed in the core system.
- Balance loan control daily and reconcile unposted transactions.
- Update interest rates and loan terms in LaserPro.
- Ensure all loan collateral is perfected, including filing UCCs, updating Elien, and recording mortgages.
- Upload finalized loan data and documentation to iCore.
- Communicate professionally with internal teams and external parties.
- Ensure all pre-closing documentation is finalized and uploaded for compliance and closing.
- Ensure all processing tasks are completed in accordance with regulatory and internal compliance policies.
- Participate in audits, quality reviews, and internal reporting as needed.
- Monitor and manage the daily loan pipeline, prioritizing urgent files and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Escalate issues or delays to the appropriate team members to keep loans on track.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Other Duties:
- Maintain knowledge of federal and state lending regulations including RESPA, TILA, TRID, ECOA, and HMDA.
- Ensure accurate data entry and updates as needed on core system.
- Order title, appraisals, flood certifications, and insurance as needed.
Skills/Abilities:
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and loan origination systems.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree in finance/business preferred.
- Minimum 3 years loan processing experience required.
